Lain Freefall
Lain is a first generation British Born Hong Kong Chinese born and raised in London, England.
Lain dedicated her life to becoming a full-time creative after moving out at the age of 16. Though, tattooing wasn't her first venture into body art, getting personally covered in tattoos was always the goal.
Lain apprenticed under Tomas Tomas in 2007. She learned how to make her own needles, hand-poke tattoos, and everything she could with the intricacies and nuances in blackwork tattooing–a loose umbrella term for tribal, geometric, dot-work, and fine line tattoos.
Lain worked with Dave Bryant at London's first tattoo shop, Evil From the Needle, and mastered versatility in all tattoo styles. This is especially true in a street shop where speed is everything.
Lain has since been a seasoned traveling tattooer. She's visited, lived, and worked in Anjuna Beach in Goa, Berlin, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Taiwan, Bintan, and countless shops in the United States.
Though she continues to travel for work, Lain is currently based in Los Angeles working out of The Queen's Head Tattoo in Koreatown.
